How to Actually Achieve Your Goals –
Part 2, Visualizing
In our last newsletter, we went through the first 3 steps to achieving your goals. In Part 2, I will help you understand how visualizing success can motivate and further help you to reach those goals.
How to Create Your Visualization:
You now have your one or two goals, along with an organized list of tasks to achieving each of these goals from our last newsletter. The next step is to find 5 to 10 minutes of quiet time daily until you have reached your goal. The best time to practice your quiet time is right before going to sleep, that way your are processing your achievements all night. If you fall asleep while visualizing its fine, your thoughts will just continue while you sleep. If bedtime doesn't work for you as a quiet time find another time of day that will, as long as you have 10 minutes of quiet time, this exercise will work. You will use this time to visualize that you have achieved your goal. This exercise will help you feel what is like to achieve success! It's an amazing feeling, and visualizing will boost your ability to achieve your goals.
Tips for Visualizing:
Visualizing can enhance what you are seeing. If your goal is to increase your wealth, visualize money pouring over you, from out of the sky, watch it come down until there are piles of it everywhere you look. What are you going to do with that money? Perhaps you are going to buy a fabulous big home. If so, see that home from the outside, and then go in a picture every room and how you would like it decorated. What is in the backyard? A great lawn? A Flower garden? A swimming pool? Whatever your goal is, take it to the next level after you have achieved it. What would change in your life? Keep picturing it until all your desires are complete, and you just can't think of anything else to add. This type of visualization helps to make your goal more concrete and real, and therefore much more attainable.
